The Process:
At Cake Couture we have a passion for designing custom cakes and we believe in creating a tasting experience that is both memorable and fun! Every wedding is unique and we believe the same should be true about the cake. Our wedding consultations are scheduled by appointment only so that every couple gets uninterrupted design and tasting time.
We encourage you to bring along your wedding planning file. Pictures of your dress, flowers, colors, venue and even those little magazine cut-outs are important for us to see. Sometimes the smallest detail can be the starting point of a great design. We will let you browse through pictures of our work to provide you with a feel for the cake basics (style and shape). After going over all of your ideas we will design a full-color sketch for you to review so that you will know exactly what your cake will look like.
Of course, the best part of the consulation is sampling wedding cake (and did we forget to mention that our tastings are free). Our wedding cakes are baked fresh and so are all of our samples. At Cake Couture we do not believe in freezing cakes. In fact, we don’t even own a freezer in the shop! Appointments are available from 12-3PM on Sunday and from 5-8PM on Monday or Tuesday. Appointments last approximately 1 hour. Booking your wedding cake 3-6 months is highly recommended to ensure availability.
Make sure to have the following information when scheduling an appointment:
- What is your wedding date and reception start time?
- Where is your reception being held?
- What is your approximate guest count?
- Do you have a budget? (How much are you comfortable spending per serving?)
Description of Pricing:
Traditional Shapes (Round, Square, Rectangle, Petal, Hexagon)- Prices start at $4.00 per serving.
Cupcakes- Prices start at $2.50 per cupcake. This includes all cake flavor choices with any basic filling/frosting. Must order by the dozen.
Add-On Cakes- Prices start at $2.50 per serving. These can only be ordered with a traditional shaped wedding cake that serves a minimum of 50. Cakes are made with the same flavors (cake/filling) as the main cake, but do not include fondant or any additional decorations.
Stands/Rental Items:
Cake and cupcake stands are available for you to use. They must be returned within 1 week of your event. There is a $100 security deposit for use of a cake or cupcake stand. This is fully refunded to you with the return of the stand. Pictures of the current inventory are available for you to review.
Delivery/Pick-up:
Delivery is available up to 1 hour of driving distance from Spring City, PA. Rates are determined by time, fuel costs and set-up. Delivery prices range from $15-$75. Cakes priced at $100 or more and within a 10 mile radius include free delivery and set-up.
Orders may be picked up by appointment only.
Payment:
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. Your 25% deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Installments are accepted. Final payments are due 10 days before wedding date.
